Just got home from Indiana not too long ago. We visited someplace called Conner Prarie on Saturday. Hotter then hell. We were there for at least 4 and a half hours. It was SO disgusting. And uh, Sunday we went to Indy. Took a tour of the track. Saw lots of cool stuff. I kissed the bricks.. doesn't make much sense unless you're framiliar with Nascar. That was the family thing we did for Kevin's sister's B-day weekend.
A while ago, Kevin's dad purchased a car on E-Bay. I think I told you guys about that. Well it arrived Sunday and suddenly.. its like I don't exist anymore.
Sunday, we knew the car was going to be on its way when we got home from vacation. Kevin's dad called the guy and he said he was stuck on I-88 in traffic and it would be about an hour. As soon as he heard that.. Kevin grabbed the video camera, threw his shoes on, opened the front door and started pacing from the kitchen to the living room. When the guy got there.. he bolted out the door and was standing out by the back of the trailer with the video camera all ready to go.
I turned to his sister while we were waiting for the car to be unloaded and said.. "I'm probably going to be in a lot of pain then.. But when I'm giving birth, I want you to let me know if he's this excited standing outside the delivery room with a video camera.. Because I guarantee he wont be."
Kevin's dad told me this car was most likely NOT going to belong to Kevin. Well, guess who's name they're putting on the title. Uh huh. Kevin's dad said, "Well Kev, I uh.. Guess we should put your name on the title.. You know.. just in case something happens to me." What the fuck does that mean?
Its funny, they're just so concerned that he's not saving his money to live on his own. And what do they do? They splurge and spend $9300.00 on a car and now its Kevin's. Its bullshit.
I was also told that they were getting the kind of insurance where I would be able to drive it. However, they stuck with the same classic car insurance for the Thunderbird that they have for the Bel Air and the GTO. That insurance holds an age restriction.. so in laymen's terms.. I wont be able to drive any of those cars until I'm 25.
Plus, he's been hanging out a lot with this guy Jim that he use to work with. Here's what gets me. His mom only allows me to be over on the weekends.. I'm not allowed over during the week because "she needs her privacy" is what I was told. But this Jim kid for at least the last two weeks has been over at Kevin's Tues-Thurs nights until 1 am or later. I don't get it. Oh but Kevin got me special permission to come over last night to wash and detail the new car. I'm sure you can imagine how much fun that was.
So.. there you have it. I'm jealous of a 1964 Thunderbird and a guy friend that my boyfriend hangs out with on the nights I'm not allowed to come over. I figure, with all this.. What the hell does he need me for anymore..?
